SR&ED and funding innovation Consultant

The ABGI Conseil team is looking for Funding Innovation consultants to join our Montreal office.

Job Description

You must have strong technical skills, high level industry knowledge in order to assist our clients with their SR&ED claim and Grant applications.

As an innovation consultant, you are required to:

  • Through interactions with clients and the ABGI Conseil Mission Management, identify activities eligible for the SR&ED tax credit and develop the structure of the credit claims;
  • Identify the expenditures related to these activities that are eligible for the SR&ED tax credit and/or government grants and subsidie
  • Research and understand government programs, develop grant databases and update program information as it evolves;
  • Find funding programs that fit with clients' businesses and propose them to clients
    Contact clients to gather information and prepare their application for funding;
  • Drafting SR&ED applications or grants and subsidies to be submitted to the tax authorities, in collaboration with the client and under the supervision of the ABGI Conseil project manager;


Qualifications required

  • Great curiosity, creativity and open-mindedness
  • University degree in engineering (master or doctorate) in a discipline relevant to the IT sector, electrical engineering, electronics;
  • At least 1 year of experience as an SR&ED or R&D consultant;
  • Knowledge of the SR&ED program and other government incentives;àà
  • Ability to understand the technological issues and to express them clearly in order to valorize the elements eligible to the SR&ED program and relevant;
  • Good technological knowledge related to the fields of IT, video games, electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering
  • Bilingual French and English, high capacity writing in both languages;
  • Ability to conduct technical interviews with specialists in multiple technology areas;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Good communication and team spirit
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, Tax Prep a plus

Inside Sales Representative

ABGI Canada's team is looking to strengthen its sales team in Montreal with an ambitious and dynamic Inside Sales Representative.

Your objective will be to pursue new opportunities with C-level innovative companies.

You will use your sales skills and your ability to build long-lasting relationships to support our clients in matters of grants and subsidies, tax credits....

Job Description

More specifically, under the direction of the Director of Operations, your main missions will be to :

  • Conduct hunting actions to detect sales opportunities through solicitation calls (80%), emails, phone, internet or other means;

  • Document lead information, account information, all associated contacts and sales data in Salesforce (CRM)

  • Transfer opportunities to sales managers

  • Participate in the implementation of the sales strategy proposed by the management team

  • Maintain the performance ratios necessary to achieve your monthly sales objectives

  • Achieve the objectives related to the prospecting of customers

  • Report on your activity to the management.

Qualifications required

  • Curiosity, dynamism, and skills in business and sales, telephone prospecting. You must have a minimum of 1 year of successful experience in a similar position in sales of high value-added services.

  • Experience in innovation financing, tax credits (SR&ED, CTMM, CDAE...) or consulting would be a plus.

  • A real business developer (hunter), focused on your objectives, you have a real spirit of conquest allowing you to manage objections and to insert yourself into medium and long term sales cycles.

  • Your personal qualities and your potential will make the difference: tenacity, listening and interpersonal skills, organized, autonomous, result-oriented and team player.

  • Fluency in English and French, written and oral;

  • Ability to work with computer tools and software from the MS Office suite and ideally Salesforce.
